NOTE FROM THE FUTURE...
It has been several years since I put these pages together. At the time I had decided to give up my UK existence and get my life back on track.
I put these pages together in the Summer and Autumn months before I was to due to leave on a 6 month trip to New Zealand.
As the Summer turned into Autumn I was getting more than a little anxious as to whether I was doing the right thing.
I had never before travelled alone with no idea of what I was going to do when I got there.
During my seismic exploration years I travelled to many foreign lands, but my trips were always well planned with people meeting me when I got where I was going.
During my UK years I also travelled to many foreign lands; but with a soul mate - Kaz. She is the kind of woman that can turn a tent into a home and a pound into a tenner. After 17 years Karen and I parted company, but she will always be a soul mate.
So stepping out on my own was not easy. As my departure date approached there were times when I felt like canceling my ticket and going back to the safety of a 9 to 5. But it was partly this "Life revolves round work" ethic of Western cultures that spurred me on in the first place.
So when the time came, I left. And as I have always said, your fear of the unknown disappears as soon as the wheels leave the ground.
My <Rod> page sums up how I was feeling.
In this site you will find stories and pictures related to the places that I have been to and places that I will be going to.

I would like to thank my website host for almost 2 years of hassle free and excellent value hosting...
Oh, and I did not have to mention their name or place ads on any of my web pages, but I thought I would anyway.
I have found the following links useful when tarting up the graphics on my site.
Animated gifs etc.
